Understanding the member portal
The member portal is where your clients book, check in, see what their plan covers and sign your terms. It comes with every plan, there is nothing to switch on, and once a client has a login they run their own membership from their phone.
Two records, one person
This is the idea worth five minutes. The client record is yours: the name, contact details, documents and notes your business keeps. The login is theirs: an email and password that belongs to the person, not to you. A client record exists happily without a login, which is why you can run a whole studio on walk-ins and paper.
What members do there
They browse the sessions their plan covers, book and cancel them, check in when you track attendance, read their remaining credits and visits, accept or decline the terms of a new contract, and keep their own phone and address current. Everything they see is their own; see What your clients can see.
What stays with you
Selling plans, taking payments, marking no-shows, waiving a charge: staff work stays in the staff app. The portal never becomes a back door into your business.
