Change plans without breaking members

3 min read·Updated July 2026

Prices change and offers evolve. Zenly’s rule keeps that safe: a plan edit changes the shelf, never the signed copies.

What plan edits touch

Rename a plan, change its price, add an entitlement, rewrite the terms: every future sale uses the new version, and every existing contract keeps the deal its member signed. Archiving a plan stops new sales and changes nothing for current holders.

The live exception: service groups

Scopes named by a service group follow your live catalog. Add the new Tuesday class to “Group classes” and every plan and every existing contract granting that group covers it immediately; remove a service and the scope narrows the same way. That’s the deliberate lever for growing an offer without touching anyone’s contract; the full story is in Bundle services into groups.

Moving a member to another plan

There’s no in-place upgrade: end the current contract, by cancelling it or letting it expire, and sign the new plan. Remaining credits don’t transfer, so if the switch deserves goodwill, waive a booking or extend the old contract’s dates; see Pause, cancel or end a contract.

Good to know
Raising a price never touches existing members. If you want current members on the new price too, that’s a re-sign, done member by member, in the open.
