How Zenly works

3 min read·Updated July 2026

Zenly has four moving parts and everything else hangs off them. Learn these once and the rest of the help center reads as detail rather than instructions.

The four parts

How it fits together
THE CHAIN
1Servicewhat you do: Spin, Consultation
2Planwhat you sell: monthly, 10-pack
3Contractwhat one client bought
4Session and bookingwhat actually happens

A service is a thing you offer. A plan packages services into something sellable with a price. Selling a plan to a client creates a contract, their frozen copy of that deal. Your schedule turns services into sessions, and a client’s booking spends what their contract entitles them to.

Your business style is a setting

There is no gym mode or clinic mode. A group class is a session with several seats, a 1:1 appointment is a session with one, and any org can run both, on monthly memberships, session packs or both. What you pick at signup only seeds example data; it never locks anything.

The one structural difference between businesses is how many locations you run. Everything else is configuration you can change on a Tuesday afternoon.

The people

Staff work in the staff app, with a role that says what they may do and where. Clients get their own portal to book, check in and see what they have left. The two never mix: see Who sees what, and where and What your clients can see.
