Open a second location

3 min read·Updated July 2026

A second location is a setting, not a migration. Add it, staff it, point some schedules at it. Your catalog, your clients and your plans already span the whole business.

Opening one

1
Add the location with its name, address and timezone. Sessions run on the branch’s own clock, which is what keeps a 7am class at 7am in each city.
2
Give staff a grant there. A location manager can then run the branch and hire its desk; see Add staff and set roles.
3
Create its schedules and start booking. Rooms and equipment belong to the branch, so nothing double-books across town.

What plans cover

A plan either grants every location or names the ones it covers, so an all-access membership and a Downtown-only membership can sit side by side on your shelf. Contracts freeze that grant at signup, which means opening a branch never silently widens what existing members already paid for; see Understanding memberships and plans.

How many branches you can open comes from your Zenly plan. If you have reached the limit, Zenly says so and points you at the upgrade; nothing is lost.

Closing one

Closing a branch archives it and keeps its history. Two guards apply: you can’t close your only open location, and you can’t close one that still has live schedules, so pause or remove the timetable first. Better an extra step than a class nobody can find.

Good to know
Changing a location’s timezone re-anchors its schedules to the new clock. It is the right thing when you correct a mistake, and it is worth a glance at the calendar afterwards.
